Homeless valedictorian heading to Georgetown University

Rashema Melson is a homeless student at Anacostia High School. Despite that and other family hardships, she graduated as her class valedictorian. Now she has a permanent home: Georgetown University.

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) — One might think that graduation day at Southeast D.C.’s Anacostia High School is like any other high school graduation. It is not.
