Faith and success go hand in hand. Of course you have probably heard that church and state shouldn’t mix, and that has been applied to business as well. But it’s not the correct idea. Not at all. God wants us to prosper. He wants us to be wealthy. It’s written time and time again in the Bible, in the Old Testament as well as the New.
So many principles of a success are covered in the Bible. We’re not saying that you have to be a Bible thumper and preach to your staff and customers. We’re saying Christian business owners have utilized many of the acts of faith that you already believe in for centuries.
Let’s look at Mark 5:36 for example. Jesus said, “Don’t be afraid; just believe.” Indeed, it’s one of the main principles of successful business people. You have to believe in your business, yourself and the Lord. It’s simple. Nothing complicated. There it is in the Good Book.
Your talent, your special skill and your penchant for a certain activity are all gifts provided by God. Why do you think He gave them to you? It says in Deuteronomy 8:18 – “But remember the Lord your God for it is He who gives you the power to get wealth.” That’s way back in the Old Testament and it still applies today.
