There are traits the successful entrepreneurs have in common. That’s not to disqualify anyone that doesn’t fit under these guidelines, but they can give you an idea if you are one of a select few that can rise to the top of your field.

1. You have to be willing to work hard. It’s the cornerstone of every successful person. Colin Powell: “A dream doesn’t become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work.”

2. You are not a quitter. You actually hate giving up. Even if there are setbacks, you will persevere until you make progress or have exhausted all means of resolving a problem.

3. That work ethic and determination stem from one thing: passion. You love what you do and you do it for the satisfaction, not for the money. That’s not to say you shouldn’t make money; it’s to say your love for the work is stronger than the drive for money.            Pages: 1 2 3 4

Thank you for this post Farrah. “You are not a quitter” and “You are a visionary” stand out to me specifically.

I can never stop announcing the importance of having vision – being able to see a different existence than the one you’ve always known. You have to put your vision in front of your sight before you can ever begin to see it manifest.

As for not being a quitter, it goes without saying. If you quit, you DO NOT get to see the results. And you will want to quite, 100 times and more, because things always get unbelievably difficult before you get to see unbelievable greatness.

    Great stuff here!

I will respectfully disagree…I rather be wealthy.

I think wealthy is a more powerful word than rich. The example I follow is what Chris Rock said….”The Star Basketball player in the NBA is rich…the one that writes his checks is wealthy.” :)
